Mark Moffitt trains horses using Biblical Principles. He believes that our relationship as a trainer with the horse is a great picture of how our relationship as people is with God.

The key verses he uses are:

Proverbs 3:5-6

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

Mark teaches trust and submission the same way God deals with us, with a firm and loving hand.

In order for us to reach our highest potential in life we must learn to submit to and trust the will of God.  Mark uses that same principle in his horse training, understanding and knowing that a horse will not reach its highest ability until it has completely surrendered its will to the will of the trainer.

Using these principles with patience will solve all the common problems that horse owners can experience such as: biting, kicking, bucking, striking, running off, not stopping, etc. By establishing a firm foundation of trust and willingness you will be able to work through the problems that present themselves through training.

We understand that God makes no mistakes and as humans we will make mistakes.  As we start and end training sessions we will make mistakes, but we must strive to always end on a good note and learn from our mistakes so that the next session will be better.

Understanding these principles have enabled me to build a firm foundation of trust and a willingness in a horse to relinquish its will for mine.
